REV'IT Fall / Winter

I'm always pleasantly surprised when REV'IT releases new collections. But this time around, I'm really really surprised.

Their new urban line features this gorgeous classically styled jacket for winter. Check out this jacket and another one in my blog post here
Alpinestars Vika Leather Jacket

Alpinestars Vika

Next in my 'to review' pile is the Vika 2 piece. Alpinestars promises to make this the ultimate urban riding outfit. Stylish and protective. Is that too much to ask for?

I should have this in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for more pics and first impressions.

Macna Gear

I had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of Twisted Throttle earlier this month. They've recently added a new line of apparel to their collection from a Dutch company called Macna.

So far, they've brought in just 2 textile jackets and 1 textile pant for women to get a feel for the women's market. I tried on all of them and really liked what I saw. More pics and details here

Roland Sands Design

They're finally coming out with a few women's jackets to complement the existing men's line.

These jackets look great on everyone who puts them on, regardless of the style of motorcycle he/she rides.

To find out when these will be available, as well as what else is coming out from RSD, see more pics and details here.

Mary McGee

Speaking of vintage motorcycles, I had the pleasure of meeting the great Mary McGee (#102).  She's an inspiration to us all and it's time that more women know about the contributions she made to this fantastic sport.

Find out how Mary got turned onto racing cars, then motorcycles on the track, then motorcycles in the dirt, then motorcycles in the desert and more. Oh, and did I mention at a time when women weren't doing any of these things? I'll be sending out a special newsletter to commemorate this special interview as soon as it's published

So tell your friends to sign up for my newsletter if they haven't already because her story is definitely not to be missed.

Marketing Motorcycles to Women

I don't have all the answers, but all I know is there's a lot of work to be done and the only way these companies are going to figure us out is to WANT to talk to us.

To WANT to know more about us, all of us. Read my blog post with some more thoughts here. What do You want?

Post a comment here and let manufacturers know how you want to be treated when you walk into a dealership, what kind of motorcycles you want to ride, or anything else that comes to mind!

Yes, I'm Short.

"You need to be flat footed with both feet on a motorcycle to ride one." I know I've said this before, this is simply NOT true.

I've posted a nice photo album of almost all the types I've had the chance to ride in my short motorcycle career (9 years as of this month). Most of these bikes weren't mine. Most of them weren't altered, either.
